Supply Wandsworth

Supply Wandsworth is a strategic localised procurement programme, delivered by our Economic Development Team.

Aims

The programme was set up to ensure local SMEs, community/voluntary organisations and businesses have the information and expertise they need to bid and tender for public and private sector contracts.

Supply Wandsworth will:

  • Offer training, learning and support to ensure supplier readiness
  • Build a supplier directory - a comprehensive list of local suppliers who are fit to tender
  • Enable information to be shared about new open tenders or contract opportunities within the borough
  • Develop a buyers' network of multiple stakeholders across private and public sectors
  • Run networking events

Originally just covering organisations with a Wandsworth postcode, we are pleased to now expand the scheme to Richmond as well.

Contract opportunities

Contract opportunities are available for developments in Wandsworth. Find out more including how to express interest:

Local supplier directory

We have produced a new 2025-26 edition of our supplier directory, as part of our efforts to ensure that local businesses are in the best position to bid for or win public and private sector contracts in the borough. It will assist Tier 1 contractors, developers, anchor institutions and corporate organisations in the borough to fulfil their social value and local procurement responsibilities.

Whilst the directory aims to showcase Wandsworth-based businesses, it also features suppliers in our neighbouring boroughs of Croydon, Sutton, Merton, Kingston and Richmond.

Fit To Bid programme

We commissioned business support organisation Branduin to deliver a new round of their Fit To Bid supplier readiness training programme.

This provided SMEs with a proven structure, practical tools and strategic insight to grow confidently, stand out in competitive markets and secure more contracts.

You can watch our launch webinar, which included presentations from our Procurement team and Branduin.

You can also view the presentation slides which outline our responsible procurement strategy, and where to register for contract opportunities in Richmond and Wandsworth as well as those in the wider public sector and government.

Building stronger local food supply chains

Supply Wandsworth is delighted to launch a new catering procurement, local supply chains and SME integration programme.

The programme will bring together buyers, suppliers, anchor institutions and business support partners to explore how local businesses can play a greater role within catering and food supply chains.

Delivered by Wonder Consultancy and hosted at Mission Kitchen, the programme will support local SMEs to better understand procurement processes, improve buyer readiness and identify future commercial opportunities.

The initiative is designed to strengthen local economic participation while supporting more resilient and inclusive supply chains across Wandsworth.
