You can donate paint or get it collected.

You can donate unwanted paint to the Work and Play Scrapstore in Tooting, open Tuesday and Thursday. The store accepts match or sample pots of paint. They can't accept nearly empty or large pots of paint.

You can give paint away using one of many free exchange websites including:

• Freegle
• Freecycle

Refuse collections

You can have paint collected as refuse along with your other dustbin rubbish. This option is only available to domestic premises.

All paint must be fully dry before collection. Leaving the lid off and adding saw dust or cat litter will quicken the drying process.

Hazardous waste collection service

You can arrange for a free collection from the City of London. Paint tins must be put into boxes for collection. The tins can contain paint.
